A great many Okavango camps sit inside a fairly narrow band. What differs between them is access, activity mix, vehicle arrangement and size, none of which shows up in a headline figure.

Per person per night, sharing, for the two camp tiers we place people in. Premier sits below Luxury here, which is the Botswana convention rather than a slip. Note how much further the season moves the price than the tier does: the same camp is two different budgets in June and in September.

Botswana rates bundle meals, most drinks, game drives, walking, boats, mokoro trips and camp transfers. The very top of the market runs up to $3,100 per person per night in peak season. The sixThe optional line that matters
A private vehicle or boat changes more than any upgrade on the list
It is usually the most consequential optional line on a Delta quote and it is frequently not mentioned in a summary at all.
Shared, you leave when the boat leaves, come back when it comes back, and negotiate with strangers about whether to stay with a sighting or go to lunch. On the water this matters as much as it does on land, a private boat means going where you want, staying as long as the light is good, and stopping when something is worth stopping for.
Ask what it adds before assuming it is out of reach. It is frequently less than the room upgrade being offered alongside it.

Questions about what you get
Are Delta camps all-inclusive?
More so than East African camps generally are. Accommodation, all meals, most drinks, two activities a day, guiding, daily laundry and airstrip transfers are normally inside the rate.
Reliably outside it: light aircraft legs between camps, scenic and helicopter flights, premium spirits and fine wine, private vehicle or boat supplements, gratuities, and at some camps the park and concession fees.
How many activities a day?
Two, typically, one after dawn and one in the late afternoon, with a long gap in the heat between them. On concession land the afternoon activity often runs past dusk as a night drive.
You are not obliged to take both. Skipping an afternoon and taking a longer evening drive instead is a perfectly normal request and costs nothing.
Is a scenic flight worth it?
For understanding where you are, yes. The Delta makes a different kind of sense from a few hundred feet, and it is difficult to grasp its shape from inside it.
It is almost always an extra. A doors-off helicopter flight is the photographers’ version and costs considerably more; a fixed-wing scenic flight does most of the job for a fraction.
What is the food like?
Generally very good, and more impressive than it has any right to be given that most of it arrives by light aircraft.
Dietary requirements are handled well if given notice. Tell whoever is planning at the enquiry stage rather than on arrival, because the supply chain is an aircraft.
